🎇Interpersonal trauma is any experience involving two or more people that leads to long-term psychological damage in at least one of the parties involved. It occurs when an interaction between at least two people is so distressing that it causes harm to at least one of the people long after the incident has passed. Interpersonal trauma almost always involves some form of physical abuse, physical neglect, emotional abuse, emotional neglect, or sexual abuse (Colman, 2015; Mauritz, Goossens, Drajier, & van Achterberg, 2013).🎆
